Ernesto Diaz was born in 1996 in Athens, Greece to a greek mother and a chilean father. His mother, Nicoletta is a psychologist and his father, Alejandro, a latin jazz musician, composer and producer who used to lead a latin jazz orchestra called Tierra Brava. From a very young age, Ernesto was drawn upon his father’s influences in latin music and salsa but also 60’s and 70’s rock music. Growing up he taught himself how to play the electric guitar and went on to start forming groups and jamming with friends. A year after graduating from high school, he moved in Sweden to work and save money. There he collided with a group of more advanced musicians who matched his style and started jamming. They exchanged a lot of musical influences some of which are: Santana, Pink Floyd, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, La Femme, Snarky Puppy, The Murlocs, Babe Rainbow, Dream Theatre, Ezra Collective, Ray Barretto, Willie Bobo, Spanish Harlem Orchestra.
