In Conversation: Skin from Skunk Anansie interviewed by Roisin O’Connor – The Independent

Pioneering rock artist Skin will sit down with The Independent’s Music Editor Roisin O’Connor for an in-depth discussion about her incredible life and career. Taking place a week ahead of the release of Skunk Anansie’s thrilling new album, The Painful Truth, the conversation with Skin will see her open up about the tumultuous period before and during the recording process, as well as the themes and ideas behind the songs. She will also speak about her band’s status as one of Britain’s most radical rock groups and the many astonishing milestones they have achieved since forming in 1994, as well as offering her views on the music industry today.

In Conversation: Jordan Stephens interviewed by Abbie McCarthy

Following on from his sold-out show with Rizzle Kicks on Friday, Jordan Stephens will take to the conference stage at The Great Escape on Saturday 17th May for an exclusive keynote conversation with award-winning presenter, BBC Introducing DJ & tastemaker Abbie McCarthy. The first ever recipient of the ‘Grassroots Hero’ award from Saturday conference collaborators Youth Music, this discussion will delve into Jordan’s boundary breaking career to date.

Pat Nevin and Simon Raymonde in conversation

Legendary broadcaster, footballer, DJ and music aficionado Pat Nevin will be heading to The Great Escape conference in May to share his passion for music and fandom in a very special conversation. He’ll be joined by long time friend, Cocteau Twins member and Bella Union founder Simon Raymonde who’ll discuss his recent book ‘In One Ear: Cocteau Twins, Ivor Raymonde and Me’, described by Elton John as “a wonderful book of pop music history”. Hosted by DJ, broadcaster and music journalist Georgie Rogers.
